NBA 2K18, the next game in the NBA 2K franchise that is set to be released in fall 2017, comes in three editions for all major gaming platforms. Players can acquire digital or physical versions of the game on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. These are all platform on which the game is available but those who use last generation consoles can only acquire the standard NBA 2K18 version. Legend and legend gold editions are reserved for PC and current generation consoles.

The standard NBA 2K18 edition includes as pre-order bonus 5000 virtual coins, 10 packs for MyTeam mode and items for MyPlayer. The ten packs are received over the course of 10 weeks, one pack is received weekly and is guaranteed to include a Team 2K free agent card. The pre-order bonus is available only for PC and current generation consoles. Players can acquire digital NBA 2K18 standard copies for PC from Steam, Green Man Gaming, Humble Bundle, 2K Store or Gamestop. Physical and digital console versions can be bought from the official game store or from various local retailers. The standard edition costs $50.

The legend NBA 2K18 edition comes with 100,000 virtual coins, 20 MyTeam packs and Shaquille O’Neal themed apparel. The physical game version has three more items: a poster, five Panini cards and Shaq stickers. This legend edition costs $80. NBA 2K18 legend gold edition is the most expensive, it costs $140, and includes the most rewards. Players get 250,000 virtual coins, 40 packs for MyTeam, all the Shaquille O’Neal apparel from the legend edition plus a few other collectible items. The physical items included in this version are a poster, 10 Panini cards, Shaq stickers and a lenticular. The legend edition can be acquired in both digital and box versions. Major game retailers are already accepting pre-orders for all NBA 2K18 editions. Price may vary depending on players location.
